Jeremy Longshore

In the first two parts of this series, we took the repo from a messy, complex setup into a clean foundation with 22 enterprise-grade documents. Now, we flip the switch: this repo isn’t just a library of templates anymore — it’s a working AI-powered documentation pipeline.

With one paste in Claude Code CLI, or a structured workflow in Cursor IDE, anyone can generate a complete enterprise documentation suite in minutes. No Docker. No BMAD. No friction.

From Complex → Simple

Let me show you the transformation with real numbers:

Before

After

This was the turning point: from enterprise complexity to instant accessibility.

The Magic of Simplicity

The new repo structure tells the whole story:

~/ai-dev/
├── professional-templates/ # 22 master templates (read-only)
├── completed-docs/ # Final docs for each project
├── .cursorrules/ # Cursor IDE workflows
├── working-mds/ # Ops reports & logs
├── archive/ # Legacy BMAD + extras
├── README.md # One-paste instructions
└── UNIFIED_AI_WORKFLOW.md # Decision guide: Claude vs Cursor

Clean, professional, and easy to navigate. No mystery directories. No Docker configs. No confusion.

Two Ways to Use It

I built this for two different mindsets:

Option A: Claude Code CLI (One-Paste Magic)

This is for the “I need docs NOW” crowd:

  1. Clone the repo
  2. Paste the one-paste prompt into Claude Code CLI
  3. Provide a free-form project description — as short or detailed as you want
  4. Get all 22 enterprise docs delivered to completed-docs/<project>/

Time: 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Done.

Option B: Cursor IDE (Structured Dev Path)

This is for developers who want more control:

  1. Clone and open in Cursor IDE
  2. Follow .cursorrules/ (PRD → Postgres MCP → Tasks → Task List)
  3. Use AI as a co-pilot for deeper dev workflows

Time: 5-10 minutes with iterative refinement.

With this dual approach, both beginners and advanced developers get what they need.

The One-Paste Prompt

Here’s the actual prompt that makes the magic happen:

You are an expert technical product manager and software architect.
Generate all 22 professional enterprise documents for my project
using the templates in professional-templates/.

Project Description: [USER PROVIDES THIS]

For each template:
1. Load the template from professional-templates/
2. Generate comprehensive, detailed content
3. Save to completed-docs/<project-name>/
4. Maintain professional formatting and depth

That’s it. One prompt. 22 documents. Enterprise quality.

Real Results

Since deploying this system:

I’ve used it for:

The Secret: AI-First Design

What makes this work isn’t just simplification — it’s designing specifically for AI consumption:

The templates teach the AI how to think about documentation. Once it learns the pattern, it can generate infinitely.

Democratizing Enterprise Practices

This isn’t just about saving time. It’s about making enterprise-level documentation accessible to everyone:

The barrier to professional documentation just went to zero.

What’s Next

In Part 4 (the finale), we’ll explore the dual AI workflows in detail — how Claude and Cursor work together to create a complete development ecosystem. Plus, I’ll share the bigger picture: why this matters for the future of software development.

The templates and one-paste magic are powerful. But when you see how they fit into the larger AI-assisted development workflow? That’s when you realize we’re at the beginning of something huge.
